Perry Lake is a US Army Corps of Engineers operated reservoir in northeast Kansas. Its primary purposes are flood control, water reserve for nearby areas and regional recreation. The lake is approximately 11,000 acres (45 km˛) and is 891.5 ft at full multi-purpose pool. The lake is home to 3 marinas, a nationally recognized trail system and a variety of camping, boating fishing and hunting activities.

Outlook: Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism reports: channel catfish fair to good on shad sides or entrails around fish feeders; largemouth bass fair to good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits 2 to 6 feet deep; crappies fair to good (but small) in Rock Creek area on jigs 2 to 4 feet deep.

I just wanted someone to know the baby drum out by the lake are covered in something that look like a fungus and the small channel cat I caught had it as well I am not sure what it is but When I picked the drum up it looked like its insides fell out of its mouth in a slimy mess. Shortly after the drum was caught we noticed about fifteen dead small drum floating. This was all at perry spillway. See pics below.
